Continued Education

“These employees are dedicated to our community…”

Sarah Rospenda is the kind of person you want to work with – compassionate, skilled and genuinely helpful. She’s worked at Oaklawn since 2011, drawn to psychiatric nursing after a college rotation.

“I was so pleasantly surprised with the environment: how much respect and dignity the patients were treated with, how the nurses developed relationships with patients and how much progress the patients made before they left,” she said.

That experience put her on a path to becoming a nurse practitioner. Sarah is one five Oaklawn NPs who have received assistance from the Oaklawn Foundation in getting their degrees. These employees are dedicated to our community, experienced with mental illness and addiction and passionate about serving our clients.

Through your support, NPs like Sarah are serving thousands of clients each year and filling crucial roles in our community.
