“The difference has been life-changing …”
Like every mother, Ashley Hagelgans wanted the best for her son. But two years ago, she feared for his future. He was getting in trouble in school, at home and at the Boys and Girls Club of Middlebury. If he didn’t change his behavior, he would eventually face legal consequences.
The family was referred to Partnership for Children (PFC). PFC identifies youth with behavioral health issues sooner, gets them help faster and avoids high-end services such as juvenile detention and hospitalization. The family met with a skills trainer who helped their son learn healthy ways to talk about and express his feelings. PFC ensured the school, Club and Ashley and her husband, Shawn, worked together toward the same goals.
The difference has been life-changing. Their son graduated from Partnership for Children last year and hasn’t been in trouble at school or the Club since. Your generosity helps hundreds of families like the Hagelgans ensure a better future for their children.
